Completion of othm qualification meets the university’s standard academic entry requirements. However, each applicant will be subject to individual assessment and other entry requirements which may affect university entry.
As our OTHM accredited qualifications are approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation) and Qualifications Wales, learners are also eligible to progress to a top-up degree, master’s programme, or MBA at many universities in UK and overseas with advanced standing.
About the University
The University of Sunderland gained university status in 1992. It was founded in the year 1901 as Sunderland Technical College. It has three campuses: two in Sunderland, on the northeast coast of England and one in London, based at Canary Wharf. Since, it is located at the heart of the UK’s most important financial centre, the London campus is used for teaching business, tourism and nursing degrees.
The university has four main faculties: arts, design and media, business and law, education and society and applied science.
It is a leading university in areas of research besides pharmacy, engineering, sports and exercise sciences, education and social work.
